I can easily see some people not liking it and getting worked up because someone doesn't like the same things as others makes zero sense. Where a tune starts doesn't define it.it's where it ends up. It would be in the same vein as calling Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" a show tune. To the idea that the Bieber "cover" is Pop. My idea of group dynamics and yours may differ. meaning that they weren't always straight banging at one loud volume with no change in intensity. I'm guessing that if you downloaded these tunes from a site other than their Soundcloud then you pulled it from Youtube in which case there's a very good chance that there was quite a bit of quality lost in the conversion. Not my favorite sound in the world but considering how good the music was it's not a huge deal, at least not for me. Tight bass, somewhat mid-focused and a really sharp top-end. ![]() The bassist's tone isn't my favorite but thats how the Yamaha TRBs tend to sound - very modern. Laptop speakers? I think it was VERY well balanced. However, to claim that the mix was bad or that the bass lacked definition, I'm wondering exactly what you're listening to this band through.
